Becoming the BGSU ACM Student Chapter President

BGSU ACM Event

For many years I have been trying my best to help young people grow personally in their lives and professionally in their careers, along with being involved with many non-profits. Something that I had been working on with Spencer Wolfe at Bowling Green State University was a mentorship program, unfortunately due to priorities and the COVID-19 situation we were unable to get it off the ground.

However, as Spencer’s role as President came to end for 2020 he posted a survey for nominations for the BGSU ACM Student Chapter President role. I looked at it and thought what better opportunity to continue what Spencer and I had planned that me applying for it. I applied, was interview, then they voted. A couple days later I was the President Elect of the chapter.

I appreciate all the good work Spencer has done, and he is taking a seat running the Falcathon that he pioneered for the 2020-2021 year and look forward to his continued guidance.

This is an exciting time and we have some unique and interesting challenges this year with the COVID-19 situation.
